Questions & Answers
Q: I have downloaded the above software and wanted to run the same. When I press SOLVE NOW it shows that compile error in hidden module sheet13?
A: The Production Mix Model uses the Solver Add-in macros included with Microsoft Excel. The operation of the Solver Add-in is different for different Excel versions. In the download package there is a Production Mix Model for Excel 2000 and one for Excel 2002. Use the one that matches your version of Excel. Production Mix Model is not designed to run on Excel 97. Make sure you use the version that matches your Excel. A compilation error message is generated on opening this model if the Solver Add-in cannot be located. This can be due to not using the correct Production Mix Model version or Solver not being installed on your computer. To check Solver from Excel go tools, if Solver is not included in the drop down menu, select Add-ins and check Solver Add-in. Close Excel and then reopen the Production Mix Model. For more detail follow the Excel help instructions to install and load the Solver Add-in.

Q: Production Mix Model Excel prompts to unprotect using Excel 2003.
A: This issue is with the solver Add in (ie the macro is unable to load it correctly). You can manually set this for Excel 2003 by following a couple of steps. 1. Open the Production Mix Model (I have attached a pre registered version to this email) and then from the top toolbar open a new blank Excel workbook. 2. From the new blank Excel workbook toolbar at the top go Tools, Macro, Visual Basic Editor. 3. From the Visual Basic Editor go Tools, click SOLVER to select and then close the Visual Basic Editor. 4. Completely close Excel (you do not need to save the new workbook) and then reopen the Production Mix Model SOLVER should now function correctly.
