Q: I created a form using the Form1 Build MYSQL page from your website. I have everything working, so since it did what I wanted I bought the software. I downloaded the form1 builder mysql software, entered the registration details, then went to the "Existing Form" tab, pointed to the local copy of the form, then click the build button. A second tab immediately opened showing my registration details. I closed this tab and the original tab shows a red button "Building....." but nothing is actually happenning. Looking at the code from the original file I see that nothing has changed. What am I doing wrong?
A: The Local Files method is designed for standard html forms without processing code and is dependant upon browser features. Try using the Copy and Paste Code method. Just rebuild new code using your registered software. You only need the processing code so your can just either set your variables in the software or adjust them directly in your text editor and use the Quick Form funtion (ie no need to set your fields etc). Then open your exisitng file in a text editor and copy and paste the Form Processing Code Only (replacing the old processing code) . see for details www.softswot.com

Q: I am creating an app for a local club where members have to check in when they enter. I have all the membership data in an access db. I am considering options between oracle's apex and your toolset. Do you have any samples or pointers for me to see how difficult it may to create this app with your tools. The specs are: 1. Check-in Form - will accept membership tag information from a USB bar code reader (this is std in and works into the active program in windows e.g. notepad etc). Upon entry of bar code, the form must query the member table to confirm the member's data and present the results (Welcome, Expired, Invalid, Not Allowed etc) and update the visit_log table to log the transaction. Overtime I would like it to present the member's picture and other data as well. 2. Member management - this would be a form app to create, edit and delete membership data with triggers to record changes (old data into log tables and new data into member tables). Also, could your forms work with oracle's db too?
A: Form1 Builder MYSQL does not provide query functionality, or full database manipulation. It simpler generates form code (for layout and processing) and then when the form is submitted adds the form data to the MYSQL database and sends it to the delivery email address. This does not provide the functionality you require, this would have to be specifically programmed. Form1 Builder MYSQL does not work with oracle.

Q: How do I add additional licenses to my account without starting a new account? Is there a hidden link for this?
A: Once registered the Registration section of the software ie the file Form1BuilderMYSQL.html file displays current registration and an Upgrade to Additional Licenses link. This link allows you to upgrade the existing license. This is outlined in the help file www.softswot.com

Q: The above order was placed to add a second license to my existing account. When I registered for a second account, I received a new registration code. Does my original registration code still work for the other web site I registered for? I do not want my other web site form to stop working. With each new license, do I get a separate registration code?
A: The new registration code allows you to add an additional domain to your registration. Click Registration from your software and then Enter Upgrade Registration Details and follow the prompts. This allows you to add your second domain to the registration. It has no impact on any forms you have already built and they will continue to function exactly as before. All it does is allow any new forms built with the new registration to run on either of your registered domains. With each new license a new registration code is generated that allows you to add the new domains to the registration.
