Q: Have just payed for Goldmine. What files do I have to download and where do they sit. I use frontpage so do I have to store them there as html or change them to php? Having difficulty of where I use the form creator. I created form 1 and saved it in frontpage as PHP and it worked fine. Just copied and pasted the html.

A: You can download the latest software version from: www.softswot.com just click on of the download links. Then install them on your computer following the Installation instructions in the Help file. www.softswot.com Just put them in a directory/folder on your computer. Not your Frontpage directory. and then follow the instructions for use www.softswot.com When you open the The Form1 Builder GoldMine file it will open in your browser. Run the software from here to create your form code. You should only use a text editor for saving the generated code as Frontpage and other html editors can break the php coding. The php coding is the script that processes the form. However if you are just using the html form layout then it can be used in frontpage as long as there is no php coding. the .php extension is only required when php code in included and your server requires the php extension to run php code.

Q: We have Form1 Builder GoldMine setup on a web page. The form is working fine when it comes through to email, however it's not getting added to Goldmine records correctly. We are using version 8.5 premium of Goldmine. Could you give me any suggestions on why these records aren't being imported into Goldmine from the form?

A: For GoldMine versions from 6.7 WebImport requires a Password. This password must be set in your GoldMine WebImport Profile and in the WebImport Form by including an instruction field: <input type="hidden" name="Password" value="mypassword"> which appears as Password=mypassword in the WebImport Email. See GoldMine Automated Processes www.softswot.com for details and also the GoldMine Administrator Guide at www.softswot.com or your GoldMine Help.

Q: When I put in the correct answer it works. However when I put in an incorrect answer, it takes me to a blank page. If I leave the answer blank, it takes me to the answer required page. Is there any way to have it take me to the answer required page if a wrong answer is entered?

A: No, it is designed this way. If the wrong answer is given then it is probably a script filling in the form ie not a human therefore we give them nothing. The Hii question should be very simple is a human should never get it wrong. If they do they can always use the back button.

Q: How can I customize the "Form Submission" page? Can I have the form go to another page instead of this Form Submission page?

A: You can turn the Form submission page off using the Display as HTML before Submission. See the Help www.softswot.com . Alternatively you can use a CSS file to format the page, however this requires knowledge of Cascading Style Sheets. See the Help file www.softswot.com for detail.
