Questions & Answers
Q: Hi, Thank you for the BAS software. Quick question, when entering totals in expenses, should only the business% of use be entered or is there somewhere where the Business % can be set for each item?
A: Only enter the amount that is a business expense. For example if 75% of a $100 expense is business and 25% is personal only enter the expense as $25.

Q: Hello, I have just purchased your software to do my quarterly BAS. I have previously used a full accounting software package but when I purchased my new laptop I needed a new install and felt they charged too much. Your spreadsheet seems just what I need to calculate the GST however I really need to be able to do my bank reconciliations as well. Do you have a solution or add on to achieve this?
A: The BAS Business Accounts Software is designed to be fairly streamlined and provide a specific service as such there are no add on's for bank reconciliation. However the Income Received and Expense Paid totals are included for each month. So if you are using a single bank account and depending upon gst payments you can cross check your bank balance against the Received less the Paid amounts for the period.

Q: I'm interested in buying your software. I notice the spreadsheet has the Bizpep advertising on it. I want to use it as a tool with some associates. I don't want to have advertising on it. Before I purchase the software, I'd like to find out how to remove it when I buy it.
A: There is branding on the software to identify the developer. We do offer Commercial licenses for the use of software for inter-business support, advice, or consulting and upon request with a Commercial license can provide an unprotected software version allowing you to undertake changes. In this format application sheets are unprotected, the workbook itself and the Terms and Conditions and Instructions sheets remain protected to maintain licencing and intellectual property rights notification. This may best suit your needs. If so please select Commercial License when you purchase.

Q: I can enter income but can't enter any expenses the sheet is locked.
A: Input is in the blue cells only. You only input the Received amount for Expenses and the Paid Amount for Income. All other values Expense/Income and Tax amount are automatically calculated on the income and expense sheet based on the setup in the Accounts sheet where you set up your accounts and applicable tax. Input is only in blue cells, other cells include formula and are protected. If you overwrite formula the calculations will be corrupt and you will need to revert to the original file. See the Quick Start section for details https://bizpep.com/basbusinessaccounts.html
